Saturday Night Art Show

Nice movement, no? She did this one and the Cow by drawing it out first in pencil, then using “Mommy’s Special Marker”, AKA my ever-present Sharpie to trace the outline. Seriously, I carry one in my purse(AKA the diaper bag, but I don’t like that term) at all times. For emergencies. Then she colored it in with her crayons. Mommy helped out a bit by reminding her that horses only have 4 legs. She didn’t need any reminding for the cow.
Cow
You’re digging that striped neck, aren’t you? She realized while she was coloring that the neck needed spots too, and this was her solution. Zebra-Cow, anyone? We like to make up new animals. You know, for fun. Take THAT, Darwin.
Family Portrait
And finally, our last installment this week. You can tell us apart by eye color. Mike with blue eyes, me with green, Avery with brown, and Zoe is the little one with blue eyes and LOTS of yellow hair. Wishful thinking on Avery’s part, I guess. She’s always asking when Zoe can wear a bow like her. This is a picture of us at the park. See those blue blobs underneath us? Those are our shadows. Because “it’s a sunny day at the park.” Yeah. I don’t know what to say either.

Saturday night Art Show is offically part of my weekly routine. Avery is a very talented young lady! And I use sharpies on a daily basis at work and go in to panic mode if I can not find one. The mechanics like to steal them because yes they are magical.

Avery can draw better than I can. I am really not kidding. And another huge sharpie fan here. HUGE.
