Avery’s Knees
Posted by sara on October 25th, 2006. Filed under: Everything Else.So I’m sitting with Avery in my lap while she guzzles down her sippy cup of milk. I have my hand on her leg, and all of the sudden–What’s this??? It’s a knee.
Gone are my baby’s squishy little spots where her knees are supposed to be. Those squishy spots have been replaced with actual patella. Upon further inspection of her leg, her knees actually look like knees. The rolls on said legs are also disappearing.
Alarmed, I investigate her arms. The lovely little rolls that used to accompany her forearms and wrists are quickly dissipating.
So what does it all mean? Well…it simply means my baby girl is turning into a little girl. And I’m OK with that. No, really, I am.
